Lesson 6.1: Cutting/ breaking – Lifting/ moving – Shoring/ stabilisation
- If trapped persons are already located, the next step is to provide safe evacuation including all steps of rescue operation.
- Like in a previous chapter, there are no exact INSARAG regulations about techniques and tactics in this area. Every team, especially classified one (see module 2.3) should have its own solutions how to do this.
- But in IEC/IER documents (see INSARAG Guidelines Vol 2, Man C, Annex D1) you can find some expectations about technical details which are necessary to pass them.
- On the right you can find expected technical details depending on type of USAR Team. Click on them to see the tables.
Lesson 6.2: Rope Work – Confined Space – Medical Care
- Location of trapped people is one of the first and most difficult tasks faced by rescuers during construction disasters.
- There are no exact INSARAG regulations about techniques and tactics in this area.
- Every team, especially classified one (see module 2.3) should has its own solutions on how to do this.
- The only expectation is to have clear and certain results.
- In presentation below you can find some propositions of known and used solutions.
After this lesson you should remember:
What are expectations for cutting, breaking and breaching for USAR Teams.
How according to IEC/ IER lifting and moving should be realized.
How USAR Team should manage with shoring and stabilisation.
How, according to IEC/ IER, Rope-work should be realized.
